Led by Friends’ Planning Director Adam Flickinger, the special presentation will provide insights into Friends’ Blue-Green Corridor Vision which guides the methodologies and framework of our strategic, multi-benefit planning approach. In the face of the climate crisis and pressure from expanding global urbanization, Adam will illustrate how our work is critical to the protection and enhancement of continuous corridors of urban open space, habitat, and healthy waterways for the future of our human and wildlife communities. He will show how conservation planning, sensible land use decisions, and rewilding projects are critical to capturing the multiple benefits that investment in natural areas provides.
