Friends and Local Leaders Discuss the State of Water

In celebration of the World Water Day on March 22, 2023, Friends’ Executive Director Margaret Frisbie joined government officials and community leaders for an important discussion about taking action to change the way we use, consume, and manage water.

Held virtually and hosted by Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Commissioner Mariyana Spyropoulos, panelists included Frisbie, MWRD Commissioner Cam Davis, Joel Vieyra, deputy commissioner of the Chicago Department of Water Management, and Anna Wolf, water equity program manager for the Center for Neighborhood Technology.

“I couldn’t have been more pleased to join this conversation about the importance of water in the spirit of the delegates from all over the world who met this week at the 2023 UN Conference on Water,” said Frisbie. “We need to think big, be bold, and work together.”
