Welcome to the Board Lauren Flamang

Friends of the Chicago River is pleased to welcome Lauren K. Flamang, an attorney in the Financial Services and Restructuring Group at Levenfeld Pearlstein, LLC, to Friends' Board of Directors.

 “Friends of the Chicago River is an action-orientated organization with a well-earned reputation for its policy, planning, education, and outreach work,” Flamang said. “There are many exciting initiatives ahead of us to improve and protect the river system. I am eager to get started.”

An avid outdoors person, Flamang, with husband and son, often paddle in the river in one or two of the several canoes and kayaks they own. She looks forward to more adventures on the river with her family in the years to come.

Flamang’s law practice focuses on representing lenders and borrowers in various financing transactions. She has also worked with pro bono clients, including representing asylum seekers, U visa applicants, DACA applicants, wrongfully imprisoned individuals, and 501(c)(3) nonprofit applicants.

Flamang earned her J.D. from University of Michigan Law School and her B.A. from St. Norbert College.
