Join us virtually on Earth Day, April 22, at noon, to dive into the history of the Chicago-Calumet River system, learn about its rebounding health, and understand how each of us plays a vital role in its continued revitalization.
Annette Anderson, Friends of the Chicago River’s Volunteer, Events and Canoe Program Manager, will share how the Chicago-Calumet River system is central to our city’s past and vital for a healthy future. She will provide information on what Friends is doing to protect and improve the river system and share how you can get involved in its care as we work together towards a biodiverse and climate-resilient ecosystem with equitable, open access to the river for generations to come.
